Cicero, the Roman philosopher, has a lot to say about obligation. We have responsibilities to God, our parents, our families, our children, and our communities, but our primary responsibility should be to our country. It’s a concept that isn’t often discussed nowadays; for many, obligation only refers to a work that must be completed. They are blind to the cost of the call, as well as its importance to the country.
