Ethiopian Broadcasting Service (EBS TV) is a privately owned Ethiopian television broadcaster. The Ethiopian-based network, which began in 2008, has journalists in the United States as well as in its Silver Spring, Maryland headquarters. EBS TV mostly transmits Amharic-language programming. EBS TV is Ethiopia’s first private television channel.
EBS TV offers a diverse selection of entertainment programming, including discussion shows, game shows, movies, dramas, and more. Seifu on EBS, hosted by Seifu Fantahun, was the first local late-night conversation show created by EBS TV. The channel is available via Nilesat’s 7°W location, and as of March 2017, it is also available on DStv.
Robert Pershing Wadlow, commonly known as the Alton Giant and the Illinois Giant, was an American man who stands as the tallest person in recorded history, according to unassailable evidence. He grew up in Alton, Illinois, a tiny town near St. Louis, Missouri, where he was born and raised.
Wadlow was 8 ft 11 in (2.72 m) tall and weighed 439 lb (199 kg) when he died at the age of 22. His enormous size and sustained growth into adulthood were caused by pituitary gland hypertrophy, which causes an unusually high dose of human growth hormone (HGH). Even at the time of his death, there was no sign that he had stopped growing.
