You are praising your child when you tell them that you like what they are doing or how they are acting. Your child will develop self-esteem and confidence through praise.
By using praise, you are instructing your child on how to think and talk highly of themselves. You’re helping your kid understand the value of appreciating his or her own successes. Praise can be given to kids of all ages for a variety of achievements. Praise can be given to a younger child for sharing or leaving the park when asked. An adolescent can receive praise for arriving home on time or starting their homework without being reminded. When you compliment your child with specifics, you are letting them know exactly what you like. For instance, “I like the way you have your place set up.” Your child will be able to understand their accomplishments thanks to this. Additionally, it conveys more sincerity than broad remarks like “You’re a good boy.” Praise for effort, such as “You worked really hard on your math homework, and it turned out wonderfully,” is what is meant by encouragement. Getting credit for effort might motivate and inspire your child to put in more effort in the future. Even before your youngster does anything, encouragement can be given. It’s a way of telling your youngster “Properly done” after they’ve behaved well or done something pleasant. It could come in the form of a present, a surprise, or an added perk. As a reward for keeping their room tidy, you may, for instance, allow your child choose what to eat for supper.
