One of the best ways to express your pride in your child is by doing this. Make them feel at ease so they can talk to you about anything. From the moment they enter this world, let them know that you are there for them no matter what they are experiencing. Tell them they can come to you with any issue, no matter how small or large it may seem to them, at any time. They may be able to use this to resolve problems with their friends, teachers, or even problems that seem too silly to discuss with an adult. It also shows your child that you are there for them if they need a friend to talk to during a trying time. Your child possesses a variety of qualities that make them special and one of a kind. Tell them what those items are. This does not have to be done in one sitting or even in a single lengthy conversation. You can implement it gradually over the course of the week. On a daily basis, let them know what makes them wonderful and unique. This can be as easy as telling them how much you enjoy their first smile after waking up or how much you enjoy the way they make you laugh. This demonstrates to your child that despite your criticism at times, you still care about them and what they do. It’s possible that until they are having difficulties, your child won’t realize how much they need you. They might be having issues at school, a friend might have disappointed them, or they might be ill. Let them know that you will be there for them at their time of need. Be available to hear their issues and worries.
