The process of overcoming adversity is a process, despite the abundance of information we receive from self-help books, our role models, friends and family, the internet, motivational speakers, or other sources. Not every problem can be solved in an instant. Because everyone is unique, coping methods that are effective for one person may not be effective for another. You should keep a few things in mind when misfortune strikes—and trust us, it will at some point in your life. Let rid of your expectations as a first step. Your previous plans are no longer valid and won’t be reinstated. Holding on to them will only hold you back from achieving your goals. Additionally, you can’t assume that everything will go according to plan. Your current circumstance is evidence of that. Your ideas make up who you are. We frequently encounter failure or disappointment when we anticipate it. The self-fulfilling prophesy is a psychological phenomena that describes this situation. In other words, what you expect ultimately occurs. It can and will result in a different outcome to train your mind to see circumstances and challenges from alternative angles. Even if we don’t subscribe to the philosophy of “Fake it until you make it,” there is merit to the benefits of affirmations and visualisation. Feeling like you have no control over your life is a typical experience. The same daily routines, such as working out, practising meditation and mindful breathing, planning brief breaks at work, and making sure you eat well, are a simple but excellent method to get your body ready for facing any problems that may come along.
