Love language to save your marriage
Vicki Gunvalson was the person in question, and she was married to her then-husband, Donn, at the time. While you barely get a glimpse of their relationship on television, what I saw struck a chord with me and made for uneasy viewing. The Gunvalsons eventually divorced despite renewing their wedding vows. The 5 Love Languages is based on the book of the same name by Dr. Gary Chapman, which was published in 1992. It was originally titled The Five Love Languages: How to Express Heartfelt Commitment to Your Mate and became a New York Times bestseller. The 5 Love Languages: The Secret to Lasting Love is the title of the 2015 revised edition. Dr. Chapman concluded that there are five ways in which people give and receive love based on his 30 years of marriage counseling experience. He invented the term “love languages” to describe these emotional responses. I was watching an episode of ‘Real Housewives of Orange County’ when one of the ladies said her ‘love tank’ was empty.
