We’ve experienced a lot in the last year, and the world is in disarray: a war that has caused pain all over the world has replaced the epidemic, which is still having an impact on many families as they try to return to their new normal. These days, it’s difficult to maintain composure and inner serenity, yet putting your best self forward can have a profound impact on your immediate family. Regardless of how busy we are with other commitments, we can all find at least a few minutes each day to devote to meditation. Maybe you could sit down cross-legged, burn some incense, and take a few deep breaths for five minutes. Putting this practice into action can have a significant positive effect on your day. You will have more energy, be able to concentrate better, and feel generally calmer within as you go about your everyday tasks. It can be very difficult to feel grateful when we are experiencing an internal storm of anger, sadness, and disappointments on a personal or professional level. However, taking stock of what we do have can help us find our center again. Maybe you might get into a more relaxed state of mind by jotting down three things each evening for which you are grateful. These things could be basic: Perhaps you’re appreciative of your lovely kitty or that you have a roof over your head.
