Ayisha added that this public pilot project is first started by the Federal Ministry of Urban Development and Construction to be executed as a pilot in Bahir Dar and the service is particularly glad to see it is effectively accomplished for which she said thanks to the carrying out office, UN-HABITAT, and the Government of Japan and Sweden just as the City Government of Bahir Dar for subsidizing the task.
She referenced that the Ministry urges different urban areas to share insight from this project and imitate it and call upon the Gov’t of Japan and Sweden to proceed with their help for Ethiopian urban areas on comparable improvement projects. Dr. Dires Sahilu, Mayor of Bahir Dar referenced that Bahir Dar is one of the quickly developing urban communities in Ethiopia with more than 400,000 occupants.
