Ermyas Amelga is an Ethiopian entrepreneur and economist. Ermyas was born in Ethiopia and moved to the United States in the 1970s to further his schooling. Ermyas obtained an M.B.A. in Finance from Boston University, an M.A. in International Economics from Boston University’s Graduate School of Economics, and a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Amherst College in 1980 during his stay in the United States. He worked as an investment banker in the United States for 12 years before returning to Ethiopia in 1996 and founding several businesses, including Highland Springs Mineral Water, Zemen Bank, and Access Real Estate. The inaugural master class series will be offered by renowned business entrepreneur Ermiyas Amelga at School of Cloud, which claims to be Ethiopia’s first digital school. School of Cloud is one of EagleLion System Technology’s digital projects, designed with the goal of supporting Ethiopia’s education system and creating a generation with superior education. The school is the first of its kind in Ethiopia, according to the firm, and it aspires to be the best digital school in the Horn of Africa.
