Six main liver disease symptoms

The liver is a large organ that is around the size of a football. It’s located on the right side of your abdomen, just beneath your rib cage. The liver is responsible for digesting meals and eliminating toxins from the body.

Liver illness can be passed down down the generations (genetic). Viruses, alcohol usage, and obesity are just a few of the things that can harm the liver.

Damage to the liver over time can cause scarring (cirrhosis), which can lead to liver failure, which is a life-threatening condition. However, early treatment may allow the liver to recover.
