In the following 200 and fifty years, between the time it was taken from Mt. Sinai to when it was at long last introduced in the principal extraordinary Jewish sanctuary in Jerusalem, the Ark was saved for two centuries at Shiloh, was caught by the Philistines for a very long time, and afterward, got back to the Israelites, was kept in the town of Kiriath-Jearim. During this whole time, it was related to various exceptional wonders, a considerable lot of which included the killing or consuming of frequently enormous quantities of individuals. Scriptural and other old sources talk about the Ark bursting with fire and light, dispensing harmful tumors and extreme consumption, leveling mountains, halting streams, impacting entire militaries, and destroying urban communities.
