A warm greeting for Ethiopian specialists Teddy Afro and Amleset Muche in Gonder. Teddy Afro will be granted a privileged doctorate by the University of Gondar tomorrow for his commitment to the compassionate, social, and imaginative fields, said the college’s leader, Asrat Atsedewein (Dr.). The President of the University, Vice President, Mayor of the City Molla Melkamu, and the Gondar Cultural Center invited craftsmen Teddy Afro and Amleset Muchie to Gondar Airport.

The University of Gondar, until 2003 known as the Gondar College of Medical Sciences, is the most established clinical school in Ethiopia. Set up as the Public Health College in 1954, it is situated in Gondar, the previous capital of Ethiopia. In 2010, the college offered 42 undergrad and 17 postgraduate projects. Starting in 2016, the University offers 56 undergrads and 64 postgraduate.

These are coordinated under the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, College of Business and Economics, College of Natural and Computational Sciences, College of Social Sciences and Humanities, and Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Faculty of Agriculture, and three schools (School of Law, School of Technology and School of Education).

The Public Health College was set up after an understanding endorsed by the acting Ethiopian clergyman of general wellbeing, Marsae Hazan Wolde Qiros, and the public authority of the United States in April 1954.
