Top Chef is a reality cooking competition show that finds and pits America’s greatest cooks against one another. Each episode features a series of culinary challenges, with one or more candidates being eliminated at the end of each episode until just one champion remains at the end of the season. Top Chef has generated various spin-offs, including Top Chef Masters and Top Chef Junior, since its beginning. The Final Table is an international cooking competition that takes place every year. The show involves a variety of well-known chefs and features 12 teams of cooks from all over the world competing for a spot at the Final Table. Each episode will feature a range of celebrity critics and ambassadors and will focus on a unique dish from a different country. One by one, teams are eliminated until just the finalists are left to compete in the final. Andrew Knowlton, a James Beard Award-winning journalist and editor-at-large for Bon Appétit, hosts the Final Table. Chopped, hosted by Ted Allen, has a format similar to Top Chef but moves at a faster pace. Four chefs compete in a three-round competition in each episode, creating and serving an appetizer, an entree, and a dessert. At the end of the tournament, a panel of three judges evaluates their entire performance to determine who will receive $10,000. There are numerous twists and turns, which put each chef’s ability to think creatively and fast to the test.
