This miracle ranks right up there with Lazarus’s resurrection as far as miracles go. After God sent a plague of plagues upon the Egyptians, the Pharaoh had just let the Israelites free, and they were rejoicing in their newfound freedom. Up until they became caught between a rock and a hard place, or in this instance the Egyptian army and the Red Sea, everything was going perfectly. Moses, fortunately, had a useful trick up his sleeve that makes David Blaine spending a few days in a box look positively ludicrous. Even in the movies, parting a sea is not an easy feat.
