This 55-square-kilometer area in Ethiopia’s deep south, near the Kenyan border, is home to a plethora of beautiful traditional villages built on huge dry stone terraces used for cultivation, a live cultural legacy dating back over 400 years and 21 generations.

The daga-hela, massive stone megaliths that the native Konso tribes continue to make and utilize in rituals, are one of the area’s most notable features.
