What to wear to hide your belly fat

It is true that many women, including myself, experience fat growth after the age of 40, especially in the belly region. This problem is not just a generational one, however, and not all women develop fat in the same way. If we combine stress, insomnia, poor eating habits like imbalanced and frequently hurried meals, lack of physical activity, and this fairly general trend, we quickly find ourselves with a silhouette that is a little heavy in the belly area and concomitant difficulties in dressing. So occasionally even the waist might lose its definition, and the physique starts to resemble the so-called “apple” shape. This article aims to serve as more of a “cheat sheet,” a list of extremely useful methods to address this issue. Because fortunately there are various ways to conceal your tummy fat, it won’t interfere with our sophisticated and incredibly exquisite style. Avoid at all costs wearing apparel that is too tight in that crucial place! However, avoid wearing any clothing that falls wide in the middle of the body, giving the appearance of a “trunk,” and taking away the waist’s definition. In many situations, wearing clothing with modest “strategic” draperies is the answer. They prove to be invaluable allies when we desire to dress to cover our stomachs. The ideal drapes and ruches are those that provide a sense of verticality and are either central or lateral, at waist height (they also look well if they are asymmetrical, that is, arranged on just one side).
