An interview with Elias Tebabal

When I use the word “force,” I mean that they make an excessive effort to project a loud, forceful voice in an effort to sound better. Instead of making the necessary adjustments to their voice, those who struggle with high notes or loudness sometimes overcompensate by straining their voice more. This could entail learning how to breathe using their diaphragm or voice positioning, which you can study here. This is evident as soon as someone strains during singing. However, there are instances when people try a little too hard, which results in an attempt that sounds excessive rather than terrible. You have the power to alter the effort you put into your singing right now, and that could be what’s been getting in the way. Think of the level as having 0% effort on the left and 100% effort on the right. As you may already be aware, you generally don’t want the sound input to reach its maximum level on anything. You’ll notice that the indicator is permanently green when it is around 0% on the majority of software designed for microphone recording. Then it starts to turn yellow when it becomes too loud. It also turns red when the sound overwhelms it. Additionally, you will frequently hear things that we record that are too loud, like the image above. The sound will get somewhat muted and may even start to distort.
