It is with great pleasure that I announce the reunion of my mother and me after over a year apart. We usually get together once every three to four months, but during the past year, various events have prevented us from getting together. She lives in a different city with my sister, so she traveled to Muscat for more than a month, giving me ample opportunity to spend quality time with her. My mother is a very straightforward person; at times, I find myself in awe of her lack of demands and attachments to material possessions. Since our parents separated when I was five years old, I never had a normal childhood and don’t have many positive memories of them. Growing up, I struggled with health issues and my mom was my only source of support. Our parents are the most significant influence in our lives. In my case, due to certain conditions, I never got to spend time with them during my childhood. I was away from them for my entire childhood.
