You and I have had the chance to experience a new dimension in our relationship as you watched me become a wife and mother, and as a woman with her own family now. In addition, you have embraced my husband and loved him unconditionally—especially after his father went away. I am happy that he has you as a father figure in his life as well. I am aware of the long-term consequences of having an involved father. I am thankful that you were a significant part of my childhood and did everything in your power to safeguard and educate me now more than ever. I consider myself fortunate to have you as my father, dad. I am so appreciative of what you have taught me and for teaching me the qualities a man should have. A man of selflessness, patience, dedication, understanding, and love. I was able to emulate that in my own relationship because I recognized those traits in you and observed the steadfast love that you and your mother shared. I am currently creating a lovely life with my spouse and our son as a result. I am excited about the customs they establish and the manner in which my spouse instills in our son the values of kindness and decency as a young man.
